The Women Entrepreneurship Platform is the European network association representing, promoting, supporting, and advocating on behalf of women entrepreneurs across Europe. WEP is, since 2015, a registered international non-profit organisation based in Brussels, Belgium.

Grazia Rendo
President 
Intercultural Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Unesco

Grazia Rendo is an Italian entrepreneur, who has been working for 15 years as Manager for the construction company Co.Ge.I. After time spent in this position, she decided to pursue her own business initiatives and has been, since January 2008, the majority founder of Orchidea, a film company (awarded in USA with her first film Cobalt Blue night). She has been Women’s Entrepreneurship Platform’s chairwoman (2015-2021) where she now holds Vice chairwoman position. From 2011 onwards, she has been part of an Italian/European network designed to mentor female entrepreneurs (BE WIN). As of 2009, she has also undertaken the role of Ambassador for female entrepreneurship in Italy. The same year, she became a Founding Board Member for UNESCO’s Intercultural Euro Mediterranean Centre. Very committed in supporting a women’s role, she is Impulse4women.org ambassador (Spain) aiming to connect female tech entrepreneurs and funders together.

​Charlene Lambert
Treasurer
Women's Business Initiative International

Charlene Lambert is a Founding Board Member and current Treasurer of the WEP. She is also President of the Women’s Business Initiative International (WBII), based in The Hague, Netherlands. Through these organizations, she actively supports the development and expansion of women-owned businesses in Europe and The Netherlands, and advocates on their behalf at international, European and Dutch institutions.  As Adjunct Professor at Webster University in Leiden (NL), Charlene teaches courses Marketing and Business.  As Director of MLMC, she supports clients with their international business development, with a special focus on fresh, local food production. In addition to her experience in support of women entrepreneurs, she has over 20-years experience working in regional economic development and Foreign Direct Investment, assisting companies from around the world with their startup in the Netherlands and activities in Europe.

Margit Batthyány-Schmidt
Vice-Chair 

Margit Batthyány-Schmidt is involved in the COPA-COGECA Women’s Committee. Since 2013, she has held several significant roles, including serving as the First Chairwoman, a member of the bureau, and an official member. Her leadership in this committee underscores her dedication to advancing women's roles in agriculture and rural development within the EU framework. In addition, Margit is an expert at the European Institute for Gender Equality, where she contributes to initiatives aimed at promoting gender parity across Europe. Margit has also served on the board of the World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (WUSME), where she has been instrumental in promoting the interests of SMEs globally. Her tenure with the Hungarian Batthyány Foundation and her leadership in the Batthyány Heritage Usage Ltd. further highlight her ability to blend historical heritage with modern business practices. Recognized for her contributions, Margit has received several prestigious awards, such as the Zichy Antónia Award and the Széchenyi Award in the CSR category.
